Headshot Info
While I'm primarily a commercial photographer in Dallas shooting for corporate and agency clients, I also offer corporate headshot photography.
As a Dallas headshot photographer, my goal is to provide clients with the absolute best headshot experience possible from the time a shoot is booked, right up thru delivery of the high-resolution files. On shoot day I strive for efficiency, putting subjects at ease, getting great shots of each subject, and making the session easy on everyone. If you book a shoot, we’ll talk about ways to achieve those goals.
All work is done on-location. I come to you, you don't come to me. Pricing is geared towards shooting multiple subjects as opposed to solo individuals. Whether you're needing 5, 25 or 250 people photographed, I can easily accommodate that need. With that in mind, if you're a single individual looking for a headshot, I'm probably not the guy for you.
There are various kinds of headshots, but for simplicity let's break it down into two types...
Traditional Corporate Headshots
These are shots that have a studio look, shot against a backdrop with pro softbox lighting. For this look, I create a 'studio' at your place of business. There's no need to have your folks trek to a studio. I'll bring it to you.
For these type shoots we'll need a minimum 15 x 15 foot open and empty space - with no furniture in that footprint - to create a custom studio. The more space, the better. If you're not sure you have the right amount of space, let's talk. I'm sure we can make it work.
Environmental Corporate Headshots
These are shots that are made in an existing environment, typically with the background thrown out of focus. These shots might be made in an office or open area in your building such as a lobby. Environmental shots can have a more approachable look than a traditional style shot against a backdrop, but they still maintain a very professional tone.
Whichever style you prefer, if you have a large number of people that need headshots, I'll provide you with tips on how to schedule subjects and at what intervals. And, I'll also share some helpful information regarding wardrobe, to ensure that everyone on your team looks their best.
Headshot FAQ
Where is your studio?
All headshot photography is done on-location, typically at the client's offices. I do not have a studio.
Since you don't have a studio, can you shoot a studio-style headshot?
Yes. I can create a 'studio' at your office, complete with your choice of backdrop, and pro softbox lighting. I've been doing this for years and have photographed thousands and thousands of subjects this way.
I'm an individual needing a business headshot. Can you help?
My business model and pricing is based on shooting multiple subjects, so while I can technically photograph an individual, it's not the best option for just one person needing a headshot.
How much do headshots cost?
Email me your headshot photography needs and I'll reply back asap with a quote...or give me a call and we'll discuss.
How far ahead do I need to book a headshot photo shoot?
Most shoots are booked a couple of weeks out, and some clients book a month or two ahead of time. If you're in a time crunch and I'm available, I can book a shoot next-day.
What should we wear for our headshots?
Depends on the culture of your business and the image you want to portray. I can provide you with some information if we set up a shoot, including some detailed wardrobe guidelines for men and women.
Can you provide a hair and makeup artist for my headshot or executive portrait?
Yes.
Do you offer photo retouching?
Yes, custom photo retouching is available. I have a dedicated retouch artist that does excellent work. Prices available on request.
How do I receive my photos?
Following the shoot, all images are posted to a password-protected web gallery for view and download.
