THREE SHOOTS TODAY
DECEMBER 5, 2018
Another busy one today doing three different shoots, which is certainly not the norm. The day started in the uptown area of Dallas shooting one executive portrait. After wrapping with that subject we traveled up the North Dallas Tollway and photographed five people, then made the trek to Fort Worth where we photographed three law partners.
Each shoot was pretty basic. The example portrait below was from the second shoot. After a quick survey of the offices of the client, I actually proposed shooting in their elevator lobby where there were some nice wall panels that would make for a good background. We had building maintenance kill the overhead lights (they're on in the behind-the-scenes shot) to control the color temp and just have more control over the mood of the shot. One Profoto B10 with a 7-foot umbrella as the main and another B10 in a small gridded softbox as a backlight. My assistant held a big piece of foam core to the right of the subjects for a little bit of fill.
